doublecad xt v5 can't open sketchup file error

Tonight, I shut down and as it was starting up, I hit F8 and ran Windows Advanced Boot Options to repair the system and ran all the tests and passed all, with the exception of System Restore, which failed. Tried running Ultimate Boot cd, but it won't boot from the cd drive. Alt/ctrl/delete won't work, so I have to resort to hard shut down. Ran Chkdsk and I get a message that everything is clean, but there is no command prompt and no way to get to safe mode or anything that will help. Restarted in safe mode and after much trial and error running diagnostics, trying simple fixes, nothing has worked. I left it alone for about an hour to see if anything would change, but nothing did. My computer was running fine and last week I shut it down for the evening and the next morning when I tried to boot up I couldn't get past the Welcome screen. Sorry for the lengthy description, but I don't know what information will help find a solution. I'm new here, so please accept my apologies if I am in the wrong place or if I post this incorrectly.
